Civilization Revolution app good for
Ive played countless hours of this game and it never gets old.
Have had for years n is always fun to play after a few months away. Using tge less good nations is fun to try out too. Have to play to your strengths!
The game is fun. Simpler than Civ games for the computer, but just what I want for the phone.
Unfortunately I do find it crashes periodically on my iPhone 6s.
Overall good experience. Fast moving game, fun, feels enough lie old school PC version to work for me. Have not had crashing issues but am just getting started.
Agree with comments that AI is weak and that this version favors a military game.
2016 Update:
Once again I am glad to give this game thumbs up. 4 star reflect on the limitations of the pvp package and my dislike of adding a second evolutionary app rather than adding that functionality and story plots to the pre-existing game.
Update:
After purchasing the multiplayer package I must drop rating by one star for both the many missing functionalities and game shortcomings (as I other I lament the games won by forfeit are not credited). I also was appalled that upgrading to the newest version also erased all ongoing games. Overall the 4 star rating is to encourage 2K to continue to polish this game so we can forget that it got a bit pricey.
I have played Civ since the release of Civ II for Macintosh a couple is decades ago and there isnt a single strategy game that can stand up to it. This smartphone version follows in the same vein of just standing head and shoulders above any other offering.
Update: I recently purchased the new expansions and I am enjoying the increased challenge with the Deity level.
This game continues to improve and I am totally happy about that.
Great time waster. Love having this game on my phone so I can play, save and come back to it whenever. I loved playing this game on PC but could never devote enough time to strategy. Having it on a mobile device? So cool.

Still a great game! Beats civ rev 2 hands down. Latest IOS update seems to have fixed the crashing problem. My fingers are crossed!
I love Civilisation.
I used to sneak out of class to play the original back in the 90s.
I really like this version.
Its very simplified to work on mobile devices but still manages to capture the spirit of the game.
Unfortunately, it crashes constantly. Not early in the game but once youve built a Civilisation up and youre ready to go for that domination victory.
So you restart, replay the turn, it crashes again at the same point, so you restart, replay the same turn, it crashes again.......
You get the point.
This game is fantastic and I think deserving of 5 stars but its absolutely no good if you cant finish it.
Sort it out Developer people.

This bug has been open for over 2yrs.
Game is fun enough but plagued by constant game crashes lead to a lot of frustration.
I would love it if I could play. Cant finish a single game without crashing. [No even loading a recent save helps].
